way to go, dad

So, we all know I'm having a hard time getting Nathaniel to sleep (read: my previous blog post breakdown).  This child hasn't napped since Saturday.  Ok, well he slept 5 minutes on Sunday.  And that was because Andrew was home.  Andrew has been gone a lot lately (read: part of the reason for my insanity).  On Wednesday night, I had had enough of the bedtime screaming.  I have tried my best and I am doing so good as far as patience and anger go.  I'm also not feeling guilty.  When I start, I am able to talk myself out of it and move on.
So anyway, I call Andrew and I say, "Talk to Nathaniel!"  So, I hold out the phone on speaker phone and Andrew is able to get him to stop his hysterics and talk to him for a minute.  Then I put the phone (still on speaker) outside of his door and leave.  Andrew talks to Nathaniel, coaxes him into bed, sings him his songs and tells him to go to sleep.  NOT A PEEP AND INSTANT SLEEP!  This happened again on Friday night.  Every night this week, Andrew has put Nathaniel to bed either in person or on the phone because I can't.   He won't let me.  He throws a fit.  But bring dad into the mix, he goes down silently and immediately.  We're 5/5 on this one.
Too bad Andrew isn't around today (even though it is a Saturday) to get him to take a nap.... I don't know how you do it Andrew, but I'm glad you can!
